Hi I’m Sunny! Throughout my life I played competitive basketball, volleyball, karate, and kick boxing, and currently I have a strong interest in Olympic weightlifting. Even from a young age, I had a strong interest in human kinetics, anatomy, physiology, and sports. While participating in these sports, I received my fair share of injuries. My experience with receiving my own Physical Therapy treatment made me realize I wanted to pursue a career in physiotherapy. As a result, I went on to complete my BSc in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University in Halifax and finished with a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta.

Hi, I’m Lisa!

While I was born in Edmonton, I grew up in Winnipeg, MB and recently moved back after living in the Okanagan for the last few years. I graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, prior to earning my Master of Physical Therapy in 2017.

Since graduation, I have been an avid learner and has participated in several post-secondary courses. I earned my acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute in 2018 and have completed courses in vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management and dizziness in relation to the cervical spine. I am currently finishing my Masters in Advanced Health Care Practice in Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy through Western University, which really places emphasis on the clinical reasoning, assessment and treatment of complex orthopaedic conditions.

I have a special interest in treating orthopaedics, vestibular dysfunction and paediatrics. I use an active approach to treatment and have a passion for injury prevention and manual therapy. I strongly believe that physiotherapy needs to be patient centered and look to give you the tools to get back to your daily activities.

In my spare time I am a club level volleyball coach (fun fact: I played volleyball for Michigan Tech University) and enjoy spin classes and yoga. My husband and I are thrilled to be back in Alberta and explore all this beautiful province has to offer!

That career choice has led to many amazing opportunities in the athletic community including several years as part of the Edmonton Eskimos recovery team. After a year of working as an instructor at a local massage college teaching several courses including Therapeutic Exercise & Rehabilitation, I set my focus on becoming certified as a Personal Trainer. My goal is to help individuals reach new heights with all aspects of their fitness. Hi, I’m Correen!

I grew up in Fort Saskatchewan and played many youth sports, including competitive swimming and ringette. My love for swimming led me to become a lifeguard and swim instructor while obtaining my BSc. in Geology at the UofA. Even then, I took courses in biology, human osteology, and zoology; I have always had a keen interest in the science of life and how we work!

After over a decade in geology I decided to pursue my passion and graduated from the MacEwan University Massage Therapy program. I take an evidence-based approach to treatment, tailoring my work to everyone’s needs and abilities. I believe healing and feeling your best goes way beyond the massage treatment; empowering my patients with body awareness and self-care activities is integral to their lasting success! In addition to conventional therapeutic massage, I want to train further in other therapies and practices, such as manual lymphatic drainage techniques.

Hi, I’m Tristan! I’m an Edmonton local who grew up playing a variety of sports, with competitive basketball at the forefront. I went on to play collegiate basketball for Prairie Institute in 2013-2014 before moving home to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Distinction and a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from my hometown university. Growing up playing sports, I had my fair share of injuries including chronically injured ankles that made me a regular in physiotherapy clinics. With these visits, I saw the difference that a physiotherapist can make in people’s lives in getting them back to doing what they love to do. I then had the opportunity to take a sports medicine class in high school and was fascinated with human anatomy and physiology, making me interested in a career helping others like I myself was helped as a young athlete.

I focus on building up the patient in front of me to not only meet their goal and get back to their activities of choice, but also to give them strategies and information for the long term. My treatment includes education about your condition, manual therapy to reduce your pain, ways to modify your activity in the short term, strategies to get back to it in the long term and exercise to get you there as fast as we can! I strongly believe in keeping up with the latest research to provide you with the most evidence-based and proven treatment plan as possible.

Outside of the clinic, you can find me enjoying various rec sports including basketball, disc golf, ultimate frisbee, and whatever else keeps me moving. I also love spending time with my wife and dog exploring the various River Valley trails and dog parks, board game nights with friends, and enjoying local restaurants and breweries.

Hi, I’m Alyssa!

I grew up on an acreage around Edmonton and have always strived to live an active and outdoor lifestyle. I love learning about biology and human anatomy, so I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Alberta. After graduating in 2016, I continued to further my studies in other areas of interest such as human movement and exercise, which led me to start my Bachelor of Kinesiology degree. Before graduating, I was accepted into the Masters of Science in Physical Therapy program at the University of Alberta and graduated in 2021-2022. I love that being a physiotherapist combines my interests of human anatomy and exercise with my passion of helping people. I believe that physiotherapy should be patient centered and focused on education, self-management, and exercise with some manual therapy.

Outside of the clinic, you can find me hiking and dirtbiking in the mountains, riding my horse Wizard, camping with family and friends, out on a lake, or skiing in the winter. I enjoy staying physically active and love to go boxing and kickboxing at the gym.
